Living in Mexico: "The band went to Mexico on contract and stayed 11 years. We started at the Jacaranda in Mexico City. It was the first really big, beautiful night club in the city. We played there for five years. From there we went to the Presidente in Acupulco for 6 years. All the time I was painting. You can paint anywhere. I painted a lot of color in Mexico. The people are colorful. They sing and dance." |
